I am a female journalist on the Liverpool Echo. I would like to talk to someone who has experienced date rape to go alongside a feature on a new anti-spiking device. It is being sold by a Liverpool company and is a stripe of paper which is put into a drink to show whether or not a drink has been spiked and comes with a lip gloss - so instead of having to go out and buy something it is there and ready to use. The idea is that most people will use it and it makes the process easier. It has been endorsed by the Roofie Foundation. I appreciate that people will want anonymity and so you can give as much or as little detail about yourslef as you wish. I would be simply grateful for you taking the time and trouble to contact me. The reason we want a case study to go alongside the feature is that then people can relate to it and it makes the issue of drink spiking/date rape more real and a possibility. Therefore, it might encourage people to use this device and take precautions. You can contact me via this forum, via e-mail on
janettansley@liverpoolecho.co.uk or by phone - monday to friday - 0151 472 2518. If you feel able to help I would be extremely grateful. Thank you.
