This site is very important to me and has been a great source of support, when I was asked to be a Moderator I did not hesitate with my yes.

As a Moderator and survivor I have been watching the media posts closely and have made several comments with regards to requests. My intention is not to offend anyone in any way but my frustration is difficult to hide these days.

I would also like to add my responses are my own and I am not responding solely as a Moderator, although I feel it is my duty to point out negative use of language that could affect the people that come here for support and understanding.

I have been wiling to share my experience with the Media which has been positive each time because requests were made with great thought and consideration.

As Journalists you should understand the power of words…shouldn’t you?

Or at least research the site you are making your request on, your choice of words or lack of knowledge could set someone back years on this site. Please think carefully.

I truly encourage the Media to utilise this site but do it well, you guys have the Power to bring about change. There’s a massive part of society hurting because Drug Facilitated Rape is not taken seriously…how can this be?

What? It doesn't happen? This site clearly says something very different.

Lets not be ignorant, that makes us as bad as the people that commit this crime.
