My name is Emma and I'm a producer at Five News.
We have decided we'd like to take an indepth look at the issue of date rape drugs and drink spiking.
It's a vitally important issue to publicize - and yet it seems as though there isn't enough time dedictated to it in the media. More women have experienced this firsthand than people realise. A few years ago my drink was spiked at a bar. I was very lucky- a friend took me home before anything more could happen. But many girls aren't as fortunate.
We would like to run a series looking at the scale of the problem, the dangers and how to avoid them.
To do this we would like to speak to as many people as possible about their experience. I know this is a very sensive issue - and I will make sure it is dealt with as such. If you are comfortable, we would ask you to go on camera for the interview. But, if you'd prefer we can keep it anonymous.
