ITV Fixers supports 16-25 year olds to fix something to better themselves and/or the community around them. We do not judge people and the people speak for themselves at

ITV Fixers is launching a special Christmas campaign to help combat the scourge of drink-spiking in pubs, bars and parties over the festive period.
From an original idea put forward by a group of girls at the YWCA in Plymouth, ITV Fixers has recruited anti-spiking teams in all five ITV news regions which currently run the campaign. The anti-spiking teams will be visiting clubs and pubs over the next weeks handing out leaflets, 'coasters and posters' warning of the dangers of drink spiking.
The on-air items (roughly 4 mins each) will include testimony from young women [and potentially young men] who believe that their drinks have been spiked... most of whom may have never reported their ordeal to police, or other authorities. We are looking for people to speak on camera about their experience - BUT we can hide your identity for obvious reasons.
We currently broadcast across the southern regions on ITV regional news (one story a month) and as such we are looking for people from Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Dorset, Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, Wiltshire, Hampshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire etc.
A rough poll of one group of young women - more than half of whom believed they had been victims - suggested that 'drink-spiking' events only receive official attention when the victim ends up in hospital. This rough poll suggested that less than 25% of cases are investigated. Many young women either can't prove that their drink was spiked, or are so embarrassed by the consequences that they prefer to forget about it. The date rape drug Rohipnol is often implicated, but more commonly young women are the victim of people adding alcohol ... and finding themselves suddenly and unexpectedly very drunk. Both leave them vulnerable.
