On a child kidnapping case recently, they said it was possible to test for drugs used months after the event, is this poss for all drugs?
I am having alot of trouble with the police, saying they have no evidence, and wondered if this could help my case.

Hi
The Roofie Foundation is always aware of tests and what they can and cant do - some forensic people say they can others that they cant. However we have heard that the FSS (the organsiation used by the UK police) cannot trace a one off drink spiking due to the fact that usually only a 2mg tablet is used and this is a very low level of the drug for them to find - larger doses can be traced but it seems the testing facilities are not that sensitive - yet. Here at the Foundation we have entered into discussions with a forensic company who are examining the possiblities of offering public tests via this web site - please watch this space.

Thanks for your reply,
I did give a urine sample at the time, but it was over 12 hours later, but did test positive for cocaine (i have never taken any drugs at all!)
The police are more than useless!
i am thinking of going to police complaints,
they wont even DNA test my saliva sample, have said that it could contain dna from anyone i kissed or shared a drink with that evening! I didnt share drinks, and to my knowledge kissed no-one.!!
Fed up of feeling like a victim, police keep talking of "alleged assault" even with photos of my bruises, feel like i am having to do all the work and they arent interested, just because they dont think they will get a conviction.

Hi
If you go onto our front page and look at the list on the right hand side you'll find a link to a forensic company called Forensic Pathways. Follow this link and have a look at them, then if you think they might be able to help give them a ring and have a chat - you never know they may be able to help. Sorry its taken so long to get back to you but we've only just set the link up.

I fail to see what 'Highlights of High school' have to do with the question of hair strand testing and actually I find it quite a disturbing and deterministic account of motherhood. I would say that the anxiety resides in you and not your friend and you should think about how your transference of your issues will impact on her!!
