Spiked or Not??? 2 Years ago Karma: 0
I chose the name foolish cos that is how I feel! I'm 36 yrs old & went out with some friends on fri nite I had, had a couple of vodkas & cokes before we went round town which we didnt get there until 10.30pm. My problem is that I cant remember anything from about 11pm according to my friends I was kicked out of a pub on my own at about 11.30pm but I cant remember leaving the 1st pub & going 2 the 2nd one where I was kicked out. I have been told that I texted another friend around 1am but I cant remember doing it or anything its a complete blank I cant remember getting home wots worrying me is wot was I doing for that 1 1/2hr period between being kicked out & texting my friend I'm not entirely sure how or when I got home either! Then when I woke up on sat I felt not hungover but like spaced out I was shaking all over & it felt like my heart was going to beat out of my chest! I still dont feel right 2day I feel very queasy to the stomach & my head is still fuzzy. I'm just looking for a bit of advice I have contacted the local police but they told me theres nothing they can do. I've tried to contact the pub where I was kicked out but the number isnt correct so got no joy there.
I'm sorry if I seem to have repeated myself but I'm so confused at the moment & dont know what to do.

Hi,

I just want to start by telling you it is not your fault!! You are not going mad and it sounds like you have been spiked!! It must be very unsettling for you to not know what happened for large chunks of the night and this is one of the side effects. Also, the feeling of being spaced out and shaking is a side effect. It might help you to do a search in google for the efeects of spiking to confirm to you some of the symptoms you are feeling. I am sorry that the police were not very helpful, they are worse than useless!! Did you feel like anything had happened to you? Did you feel any different in your body? It might help to talk to the RASASC (Rape & Sexual Abuse Service Centre) on 0208 683 3311 as they have a counselling service and helpline. Even if you are not sure what happened to you. They are experts at dealing with the feelings we are left with. I am sure you will find this site alot of support too. It might take a couple of days to get a response but you will get one. Just try to take care of your self & im here anytime you want to talk. Wendy

Thank you for getting back to me I really do appreciate it. I'm not sure if anything happened or not! I forgot to mention I have got a mark on the back of my neck where it looks like ny necklace was tried to be yanked off but that is all superficial whats troubling me the most is not knowing & I know it is going 2 drive me mad because nothing absolutely nothing of the nite as come back to me & its as though I'm obsessing about it which I know isnt good! I mentioned I tried to get hold of the pub but the number isnt registering so I've been on to the licensing office so I have got a name but they had the same number which they said isnt good cos they have only just put an application in to update their license in the same name as before. I will keep coming back to the site cos I feel a little bit betrayed that my "so called friends" didnt come out with me or even tell me about it till nearly a day later.
Once again thank you for the advice & being there

I can only relate to what your saying about trying to remember but you must go easy on yourself because the more you try to force yourself to remember the harder it will be. Plus, you might have to accept that you just wont remember or you might have flash recalls? Im sorry to hear about your neck, you must feel really vulnerable to have gone through all this on your own!! I fear that even if you get hold of the pub that there is little that they can do. Ideally it would be nice to have a lnadlord who could go over CCTV footing to see if anything untoward happened? I am glad to hear you will keep visiting the site because when you are feeling this confused and vulnerable its good to know you have the support of people who have been through what you are going through. Try to look after yourself and I hope to speak to you soon x
