I spoke to the CPS today and im feeling confused, powerless, stunned, and most of all ANGRY!!!!!

I am going to a meeting before Christmas to discuss the decision reached by them, to not prosecute.

The CPS told me over the phone that there was no forensic evidence. I told him that the offender admitted sex. He said that they could not accept his admittance to this because if they did they would also have to accept his word that it was consensual. They told me that if they had found evidence of sex through swabs they could have used this but that his word is not good enough evidence.. bloody what??? He used blasted condoms!! Thank god for small mercy's cause I would not have wanted his disgusting sperm inside me!! But can you believe this!!! Not only that..., because there was no forensic evidence, despite the knowledge that drugs leave your system so quickly, it is my word against his. The photographs of injuries where not enough because they couldn't prove that he caused them or that they were caused against my will!! This is absolutely crazy!! He used the analogy that a child might admit he drew on the black board.. i.e, the rapist admitted he had sex, but the child is denying what words he wrote.. i.e, the rape!! What an analogy??? Anyways, talk about injustice.

He raped me, he admitted he had sex with me.. he claims it was consensual.. I am covered in bruises with a lump on my head and no memory for hours and yet the fact that he admitted he had sex with me is not good evidence because they would have to believe it was consensual!! What a load of bull!!!

The police and the law are just as much groomed by these damn rapists as some of their victims!! What the hell is the law doing to get us justice!!! Its Crap!!!

you are right, there is no justice at the moment... I have been drug spiked rather than spiked and then raped but still not been believed, such things are just brushed aside if you have no proof, even where sex assault has taken place. I am looking into getting a change in the law to how spiking victims are treated if I can so noone else has to go through what I did or you did without it being treated seriously. I am looking to get MPs lobbied to do so and will be asking everyone on here to do the same in time. I hope things are better for you and you can move forward with your life again. Nikki
